Marian Mijnhardt from Galerie 2020 in Otterlo invited me to exhibit in Galerie 2020, Window Gallery for contemporary art in Otterlo. My work Left part, in orange, can be seen there from April 1 to 30, 2022.
“Kees van de Wal’s work is 3-dimensional. The shapes he uses make you curious. Sometimes the shapes are organic, sometimes angular and sleek. The use of color is surprising and fresh.
He made a suitable work especially for the display case. What am I actually looking at, you ask. Is it a space? A letter from an alphabet that is totally unknown to us? The title will help you on your way. The work itself leaves plenty of room for your own interpretation. And that’s what makes it so fun to watch.”
